Background and Experience

Caroline Laycock combines her almost 20 years experience as a change management consultant and corporate trainer to support individuals and teams in optimising their professional effectiveness. Caroline’s specialist topics are personal impact, getting the best from others and getting things done. She has a bespoke technique for helping busy professionals to strike a balance between being productive while protecting wellbeing.

Caroline started her career in the Change Management competency at Andersen Consulting, soon to become Accenture. She enjoyed 10 years with the firm, serving mainly Public Sector clients in Ireland and the UK with responsibility for training and implementation planning.

In 2010 Caroline moved to professional effectiveness training company Mind Gym as a freelance trainer. In 5 years she delivered over 1000 Mind Gym training ‘workouts’ to a diverse range of clients.

Since 2012 Caroline has also been on the faculty of in-house trainers at PwC responsible for delivering Core Consulting Skills training including Presenting Skills, Personal Impact and Leadership Skills, in UK and central Europe.

Caroline brings a fresh approach to training and coaching that allows her to connect well at all levels and across industry sectors. Engaging and personable, she gets the best from people and loves working with groups who want to learn, push their own boundaries and be inspired.

For Mind Gym, Caroline has delivered workshops to a range of clients including: Astra Zeneca, Aviva, Bank of America, Bank of England, Barclays, Betfair, BP, British Gas, BT, Centrica, Danone, De Beers, Deloitte, Dyson, Ernst & Young, GSK, JP Morgan, Nestle, O2, PepsiCo, RBS, Rolls Royce, Royal Mail, Shell, Sony, Tata, Topshop, UBS, Unilever and Volkswagen. She remains on the faculty of trainers at PWC.

Personal Passions

Originally from Ireland, Caroline is now settled in the UK with her Yorkshire husband and two primary school-aged children. Her favourite hobby is a weekly ‘Park Run’– a Saturday morning 5 km run in a nearby park, joined by almost 1000 people and marshalled by volunteers. A weekly feel-good fix that brings social and physical wellbeing to life!
