Back to insights

Peer-reviewed research by Cass Coulston, Professor Sukhi Shergill, Dr Ricardo Twumasi and Dr Myanna Duncan reveals what it is that supports well-being in virtual and hybrid teams.

Published in the International Journal of Qualitative Studies on Health and Well-being, this study offers evidence that leaders can use to design healthier, higher-performing teams in the modern world of work.

Viewed through a job demands-resources lens, the research shows how the demands of dispersed, digital work interact with the social and structural resources teams have available, and why intentionally designing those resources is what protects both well-being and performance over time.

What resources could you strengthen, so your team can meet the demands of hybrid work without burning out?
