This week, I had the pleasure of running a webinar for some of the brilliant teams who took part in our research, supported by Deloitte UK. We explored what truly enables performance and well-being in virtual and hybrid teams.
I shared the P.A.T.H.™ framework; four research-backed pillars that make the biggest difference:
Purposeful Choices: Intentionally co-designing ways of working that support autonomy, flexibility, and healthy work-life integration.
Aligned Communication: Creating clarity through shared rhythms, expectations and communication norms.
Team Connection: Building trust, cohesion and psychological safety to strengthen relationships and resilience.
Holistic Leadership: Leaders who champion well-being, adapt to team needs, and create the conditions for people to thrive.
Our multi-method research, including a 14-year systematic review, global interviews, and a longitudinal study of 77 teams, shows that well-being isn’t a ‘nice to have’. It’s a strategic driver of engagement, productivity, and performance.
One key insight? While all four P.A.T.H.™ pillars predict thriving, team connection and leadership create the frame that allows the rest to succeed.
Thank you to everyone who contributed. If you’d like a copy of the research, do reach out, as we’d love to share.
